Some time ago, a good friend of mine embarked on a journey into the unknown with a little help from psychedelics.
As his tripsitter, I knew that this was going to be an unforgettable experience for him. We started with meditation, allowing ourselves to be fully present in the moment. The air was thick with the mystical sounds of Ikaros, the Quechua term for magic songs. My friend felt his senses heighten as the psychedelic started to take effect, and he began to feel the world around him shift and warp.
We went out on a nature walk and we stumbled upon a small tunnel. My friend was hesitant at first, unsure if he should take this step into the unknown. But he knew that he needed to face his fears head-on and trust the process. And so, he took a deep breath and ventured inside.
As he emerged from the other side, I could see a newfound sense of energy and vitality radiating from him. We continued walking, and as we sat down to meditate on the grass, he shared with me the incredible insights he had gained from the experience.
He spoke of how, in that tunnel, time seemed to stand still. It was as though he had entered a different dimension, a world where his deepest fears and memories were laid bare before him. It was both terrifying and liberating at the same time. But with each step, he felt himself letting go of his past traumas and embracing a new sense of freedom.
Weeks later, I returned to that same spot where the tunnel was located. I took some pictures, and one in particular stood out to me. It was a beautiful reminder of the profound journey my friend had taken, and the lessons he had learned along the way.
I believe that psychedelics like Ayahuasca and Psilocybin mushrooms can have a transformative impact on our lives, as long as we approach them with respect and in the right set and setting. They offer a unique opportunity to explore the depths of the mind and gain valuable insights into oneself and the world around us.
